Unbottle The World

This morning as I was going through my “Do Good” App (which I recommend you get – it’s free, if you’re motivated to do some good deeds, but don’t know where to start or if you’ve run out of ideas) I was inspired to write today’s post on plastic and reducing & recycling…

The app, I know it’s available for the iPhone because I downloaded it on my phone. It’s probably also available for Android and tablets, you can check it out here:

Do Good

Do Good – 365 random acts of kindness

You might also want to check out TONIC, I strongly recommend you do – because unlike other news reporting agencies, TONIC believes in seeing the bright side, seeing the goodness in everyday life and spreading +ve news šŸ™‚

So, coming back to the topic of the day – today’s Do Good RAOK (random act of kindness) is – Reducing plastic and aluminum waste by not purchasing any beverages in plastic containers or cans today. And if you absolutely must, remember to RECYCLE šŸ™‚

If that’s not motivation enough for you, check out this really cool video – NOT BORING, I promise šŸ™‚ …. In case you didn’t know what happened to the plastic bottles after they’re discarded by the consumer, this video will definitely shed light on that.

Here’s some suggestions on how you can fulfill today’s good deed – if you’re thinking of treating yourself to a lil reward, maybe you can invest in a reusable bottle for water or a reusable coffee travel mug.
You can take this good deed a step further by gifting someone the same, if you know their birthday or a special day is around the corner.

Unfortunately in Europe every restaurant you go to only offer bottled water. What a huge waste of energy and money.
