Keep Your Head Up, Let Your Hair Down

I had a crazy, super busy but also super productive day! So I am mentally exhausted but happy. Its that kinda feeling after you’ve worked out at the gym or gone a long challenging hike and the next day your body is sore, but the pain is sweet and makes you feel good.

I am so glad that we’re over the hump and Friday is just around the corner. Woohoo!!! While I love days like these which are productive from the moment I wake up to the moment I sleep, I sure could use some breaks and make do with a lesser of a busy day. But hey, I aint complaining πŸ˜‰Β  I have been listening to this song all day. It has been my mental fuel and kept me going all day. Sharing the song and lyrics with you all.

Tell you a lil secret? πŸ™‚ I’ve been humming this song all day, its just so catchy and cheerful. Trust me, just one listen and you’ll be singing along. Enjoy!

I’ve been waiting on the sunset
Bills on my mindset
I can’t deny they’re getting high
Higher than my income
My income’s breadcrumbs
I’ve been trying to survive
The glow that the sun gives
Right around sunset
Helps me realize
This is just a journey
Drop your worries
You are gonna turn out fine.
Oh, you’ll turn out fine.
Fine, oh, you’ll turn out fine.

But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.
You gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.
I know it’s hard, know it’s hard,
To remember sometimes,
But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.

I’ve got my hands in my pockets,
Kickin’ these rocks.
It’s kinda hard to watch this life go by.
I’m buyin’ in the skeptics,
Skeptics mess with,
The confidence in my eyes
I’m seeing all the angles,
Starts to get tangled
I start to compromise
My life and the purpose.
Is it all worth it,
Am I gonna turn out fine?

Oh, you’ll turn out fine.
Fine, oh, you’ll turn out fine.
But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.
You gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.
I know it’s hard, know it’s hard,
To remember sometimes,
But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.

Only rainbows after rain
The sun will always come again.
It’s a circle, circling,
Around again, it comes around again.
I say only rainbows after rain
The sun will always come again.
It’s a circle, circling,
Around again, it comes around

But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.
You gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.
I know it’s hard, know it’s hard,
To remember sometimes,
But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.

Keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.
Keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.
Keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.

I said ohhhh no no no no

I came back here today to listen to the song. Very upbeat. Thank you for posting!

  4. I’m so terrible about appreciating new songs; I usually impatiently scan the radio dial until I find something familiar. But I heard this one on the radio last night (maybe it’s not new now, but it’s new to me!) and it really did catch my ear. Loved the energy, loved the message. I think it’s my new anthem!

I heard this song todau for the first time and was so inspired to focus on my purpose while on this journey. I willl continue listening to this song and music by Hadaccah, another inspiring indie artist singing hot buttered cornbread. After listening to these two songs on a daily basis, I will be ready for the work before me.
